At MCC, we believe childcare is an essential component of a thriving community. It serves as vital infrastructure, enabling parents—especially women—to remain in the workforce and continue building financial stability after having children.

 

Given our scale, our organization is quite costly to run. High-quality early education is expensive. Parents contribute a large portion of our costs, but as a group, are not able to fully cover them. We rely on the generosity of our in-kind donors, grantors, and donors like you who believe in the value of what we're doing.

We are proud to be a highly efficient organization in that only 2.6% of our costs are admin & fundraising. A figure this low is quite rare in the non-profit world; admin & fundraising costs are typically 15-25% of total costs. The difference is mostly our large in-kind donations that represent 19% of total costs. Put another way, our in-kind donations save families 20%.
